A Visit to Noel LeVasseur Elementary School

Students and Authors

On October 14th, 2016 we had the pleasure of visiting with Mrs. Luhring’s class at Noel LeVasseur Elementary School. We had a fabulous time meeting all of the students and signing their own copy of Ghost Station: A Ghost Mystery Novel. Thank you Mrs. Luhring and class for inviting us and for the delicious edible arrangement.

The students asked us some wonderful questions that we thought we would share with everyone.

How long did it take you to write this book?

This particular book has been in the works for ten years with several revisions.

When did you write this book?

This revision of the book has taken about a year.

How did you come up with the idea for the book?

Lucy lived in a haunted house when she was about 7 years old. The house in Ghost Station is based off of that house.

How many books have you written?

We have written and published two books so far. We have another five in the works, and two more in the rough draft stage.

What is the first book you wrote?

The first book we wrote is actually not published yet, though it is our next project. We will give you a hint about it though. It involves dragons. The first book we published is Ghost Station.

Did you deliberately have thirteen chapters in the book?

Ah, we were hoping someone would ask this question! Yes, we did have thirteen chapters in the book for the superstition surrounding the number. There are actually many varied reasons for thirteen to be considered an unlucky number. But the Why is the number 13 considered bad luck? question on Reference.com has some basic reasons of interest. There are several articles all over the Internet with more examples of why thirteen is considered an unlucky number.
